Wild Horse Magnesite Sterling Silver Statement Ring, Size 7
A Wild Horse ring in sterling silver, size 7. A 12.5 carat oval cabochon, cream and white broken up by red-brown, bezel set in silver. One of a kind. This is an artisan, handmade statement ring in a classic Southwest, Santa Fe jewelry style, designed to stand out on the finger.
Wild Horse is magnesite, not turquoise, and it only comes from one place: a single deposit outside Globe, Arizona. That is the whole reason it is collected. The white is magnesite and the red-brown running through it is hematite, and because there is exactly one source, supply is finite in a way most stones are not. If you are looking for a natural stone silver ring that truly is one-of-a-kind, this is it.
The color does something turquoise cannot. Cream and rust read as warm rather than cool, so this sits naturally with brown leather, denim, copper and gold in a way a blue stone fights. It is the piece to reach for when turquoise feels like the obvious choice. The warm, earthy pattern makes it an easy everyday ring and a bold statement accessory at the same time.
Every Wild Horse cabochon is cut and backed at Cutting Edge Turquoise before it goes into a setting. Magnesite is softer than turquoise, so backing is not optional on a stone this size if it is going to be worn. The stone and silver are built for regular wear, so you can enjoy this statement ring as part of your daily jewelry rotation.

Who made it
Joyce Benavidez and Jill Monfiletto built this ring at Cutting Edge Turquoise, our family turquoise and lapidary business, around a stone cut in their own shop. That is not how most Southwest jewelry gets made. Usually the rough passes from a dealer to a cutter to a silversmith to a gallery, and nobody along that chain has seen both ends of it. Here the same hands chose the rough, cut the cabochon, and set it in silver. It is artisan, handmade jewelry in the most literal sense.
Will it fit you
This ring exists in one size only: 7. There is no second one in another size, because there is no second stone. If you are unsure of your size or you are between sizes, message me before you order and I will help you work it out.
